Which
group suits your style? Each of our ensembles features a
different sound, and each has its own repertoire, but the're
all designed to complement the unique circumstances of your
wedding. We're not a bunch of stuffy classical musicians,
either. Not only do we have a broad repertoire to span many
musical genres, but we know the music and more
importantly, we know the right time to play which pieces
to create excellent atmosphere for you and your guests.
Note:
Eugene area groups include ensembles of flute with bowed
strings only (quartet, trio, or duo).
Chamber
Orchestra
Nine musicians:
• 1 Flute, 3 Violins,
2 Violas, 2 Cellos, 1 Bass
|
The
Chamber Orchestra is an unparallelled wedding ensemble
with a full symphonic sound. Wedding rehearsal attendance
by the ensemble leader is necessary and included in
rates. Available for Portland area only.
|
Quartet
Four musicians:
• Flute, Violin, Viola
and Cello
• 2 Violins, Viola and Cello |
The
Quartet is the classic wedding ensemble. An all-string
quartet is very traditional, with a unified sound. Flute
adds brilliance and projection to the group. Ideal for
all situations. |
Trios
Three
musicians:
• Classic Collage Trio:
Flute, Violin and Cello or
String Trio
• Toscana:
Mandolin, Flute, and Bass
• Chamber
Trio:
Flute/Saxophone, Guitar, Cello/Bass
• Collage
Brass:
Trumpet/cornet, French Horn, Euphonium
|
Our
original Flute, Violin, and Cello trio, like the quartet,
has an extensive and elegant traditional classical
repertoire.
Toscana, our unique Mandolin, Flute, and Bass trio
is ideal for a charming and romantic old-world sound.
We can add accordion too.
The Chamber Trio has a romantic, rich sound for ceremony
music and a great repertoire of upbeat swing and jazz
(with optional vocals) for the reception.
Our unique brass trio is unlike any other, with a
mellow and smooth sound that won't overwhelm, and
the regal elegance brass ensembles are known for.

Duos
Two musicians. Almost any combination is
possible, but our most popular are:
•
Flute and Cello
•
Flute and Guitar
• Violin and Cello
|
Our
duos will lend an air of intimacy without sacrificing
the essence of the music. Excellent for small weddings
and small spaces.
Not sure which two instruments to use?

Soloist
One musician. Any of the following:
Flute,
Violin, Mandolin, Accordion (strolling Violin, Accordion,
or Mandolin available!), Cello, Classical Guitar,
Piano. |
Soloists'
repertoire and style will vary depending on the individual
and the instrument.
|
On
a tight budget?
Let
us confer with you to design a custom ensemble to fit your
needs. Almost any two instruments can be combined to form
a flexible and accomodating duo. Or perhaps the subtle elegance
of a soloist is all you need to complete your ceremony design.

If you would like us to accompany a singer of your choosing
(e.g. family member or friend), you must have a guitarist
in your ensemble. There is an arrangement/rehearsal fee
of $60 and a rehearsal between your singer and guitarist
should be arranged at least two weeks prior to the wedding.

"Good
Morning, Susan:
We wanted to thank you for the lovely music you all provided
for DJ and Lillie's wedding in Longview on the 21st. It was
one of Lillie's fondest hopes to have in their ceremony and
she was so appreciative.
Your professionalism and wonderful musicianship helped create
a lovely illusion for their wedding space and was enjoyed
by all. I've given your website out to quite a few folks who
were awed by the quality of your music... It's still sort
of daunting for folks over 40 to "book" over the
internet but your website made it so easy with the mp3 clips
to aid in the choices."

"Hi
Susan-
I
didn't really get to thank you for the wonderful music that
you and your group played for our wedding. I am embarassed
that I didn't make time to come by and thank you. It was lovely
and it was the perfect thing that we needed to make the wedding.
Your timing was wonderful and it was fun to have you all there!
Thanks so much!"

"Susan
-
Thanks again for everything! Your music was so beautiful,
everyone loved it. I also cannot tell you how much I appreciated
the special attention you gave to finding music per my request
that was important to remembering and honoring family that
could not be present. Your special attention made our day
even more perfect!

Dear
Susan,
I want to thank you, the quartet, and Lesley, our vocalist,
for the outstanding job you did at my daughter Jennifer's
wedding! Susan, planning for a wedding can be very stressful,
but your professionalism along with your relaxed personality
actually made choosing our music fun! Thank you for your perfect
suggestions, and for taking extra time to help us find just
the right music! The quartet played superbly, and many of
our guests commented about how much they enjoyed the beautiful
music. Lesley, thank you for fulfilling my daughter's dream
of hearing her special song sung at her wedding. Your voice
is truly amazing; beautiful and filled with emotion. You brought
tears to our eyes! Susan you were all fantastic to work with,
and I would wholeheartedly recomment Collage Music to anyone
planning an event! Thank you again!
